Looking For the Right School


Kids are fast going back to school.

With that, there are so many things to worry about, if you have found the right school for your kids, kudos to you. If you are new into choosing a school or an Expatriate Family, this is sure will be foremost on your mind.

Finding the right school can be very challenging and will depend on where you reside in the suburbs or city center.

Suburbs or City Center

There are many options to chose from, but it still needs to be broken down. 

1. Is the school on a path with less traffic congestion?
   
2. Do they have adequate transportation that can conveniently take your child back and from school? 
   
3. Don’t be fooled by the word Montessori, these days All the schools are now termed, Montessori. It doesn’t matter if its a school the size of a kiosk. How big is the size of the school?
   
4. How professional is the school, find out if the school is being operated by one individual, proprietorship or a  board of trustees? Many schools just spring up just because the owners have excess funds to float a school, however, they lack direction and scope for learning. That’s not a bad thing though if they are smart enough to let professionals run the whole affairs of the school.
   
5. Have adequate spaces been provided for the kids to run around during their break time in school, for good exercises? Teachers will have more to deal with if kids are not giving the right development environment and this tends to make teachers feel some kids are a handful. Confident and extrovert minded kids if not given the right space becomes distracted with studies.
   

CURRICULUM 

1. Now aside from the normal curriculum, there are vocational activities you need to consider to give your child the right dose of knowledge in setting them for the career you expect them or hope to help them pursue.
   
2. And parents are encouraged to inquire about activities these schools offer such as swimming, musical instruments, self-defense classes training, computer classes with minor coding.
